I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2014. I have received two student-nominated teaching awards at Loughborough University: first, I won the 'Inspiration' Award at the 2014 Loughborough Academic Awards; and second, I received a 'You're a Loughborough Legend' Award via the Students' Union in 2015. 

Since 2012, I have taught on a range of modules on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Loughborough University.  These include the first-year module Geographies of Identity and second-year modules Geographies of Culture, Media & Representation (module convenor) and Geographical Research: Design and Practice. I have supervised MSc and BSc dissertations, supported overseas and residential fieldcourses, and had personal tutoring responsibilities, including placement students and tutorials.

I am currently the Human Geography External Examiner for the Degree Programme at the National University of Ireland (Galway). I am a University Teaching Assessor at Loughborough University and the Academic Lead for Geography Open Days.
