I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2014. I have received two student-nominated teaching awards at Loughborough University: first, I won the 'Inspiration' Award at the 2014 Loughborough Academic Awards; and second, I received a 'You're a Loughborough Legend' Award via the Students' Union in 2015. 

I am a University Teaching Assessor at Loughborough University and the Academic Lead for Geography Open Days.

Since 2012, I have taught on a range of modules on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Loughborough University.  These include the Part A (Year 1) module Geographies of Identity, Part B (Year 2) Geographies of Culture, Media & Representation (module convenor), and Part C (Year 3) fieldtrip to New York. I have supervised MSc and BSc dissertations and had personal tutoring responsibilities at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including placement students and tutorials. I previously supported the Part A residential fieldtrip to the Peak District and MSc module 'Doing Global Research'.  I have also delivered teaching at both the Department of Geography, University of Leicester (2011/2) and IGES, Aberystwyth University (2007-2010).

I am currently the Human Geography External Examiner for the Degree Programme at the National University of Ireland (Galway).
